I love clouds, love looking at them and love taking pictures of them. These are from my drive last week through New Mexico.
I am going on 43 years old and I still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up. I don’t feel like I have a “passion” for one thing over another. How sad is it to not have a passion?
I remember back in the day (those crazy 80′s) I dreamed of being a CSI before there was even a job for that. Something in the forensics field has always been something I wanted to do. I think I would get along better with dead people then live people lol. However, sadly I think that boat has sailed.
Now I am looking into the university of Phoenix for their Information Technology/Web Design associates degree. A lot of work and even more money (*sigh*). Right now I love blog designing and this would take me to a more marketable field (I think). I am kinda limited to the degree I go for in the fact that everything I do has to be done online since I am never in one place long enough to go to traditional classes.
Then I am thinking of other things that are on a smaller scale. I have always loved animals. What about Dog Obedience Trainer? Lord knows my dogs could use some training. And then my mom’s 5 psycho dogs could use some work too lol. This is something I could do living in an RV and selling my services each place I settle. I am not looking to get rich. I am looking to supplement our income and give me some extra spending money is all.
See the thing is I worry about what will happen once dh is gone. Sure he is younger then me but the men in his family have a history of not getting out of their 60′s before they die. On the other hand are my 2 grandma’s. One lived to 92 and my other one is 97 and still going strong. I expect to live for a long, long time. What is my point? Well I am getting to it…. My point is 20-30 years form now it is going to be even harder to live on a fixed income then it is now and I just don’t see myself being a Walmart Greeter trying to make ends meet (no offense to any greeters out there
)
I live in an RV. If something happened to dh tomorrow I would have NOTHING, except an RV that is. No house, no furniture and barely any belongings. And you know what? It’s damn scary. I would get some income from insurance, and whatever death benefits dh has but it wouldn’t be close to what we have coming in when dh is working. I just feel I need to something sooner, rather then later.
Ha, now I just need some motivation. Anyone have some to spare??
No one really knows for sure, but whatever they found sure is ugly. Looks like a dog of some sort with what I would describe as skin like a rat.
I like watching Monster Quest on the History channel. They are always out trying to find Bigfoot, Hogzilla, Birdzilla and any other type of legendary “unknown creature” like the Chupacabra. In fact I was watching it the other day and mentioned to my husband that they never actually find anything during their quests. What eywitness accounts they do have and even photos or evidence is usually discounted by scientists as some relatively normal animal. Or in some cases a hoax altogether.
When scientist test this latest find in Texas what do you think they will find? Who knows, but I am not so sure they will ever “label” it a Chupacabra. They may go as far as saying it is a hybid dog of some sort which will keep the mystery of it all alive. Is this a Chupacabra? Is it not? Is there still something out there killing livestock on farms in Texas we haven’t found yet? I don’t know and not sure I ever will.
Do you know? What do you think??

I am sad, so sad. Have you heard? From the website 24/7 Wall st the list of the top 10 brands that may disappear in 2011. Some on that list include T-Mobile, Blockbuster and Radio Shack (my husband loves that store). But losing Readers Digest (which is on the list) is like losing a family friend.
Readers Digest is the ONLY magazine I read, the only one I buy and the only one I have ever bought a subscription to. I read it cover to cover every month and so look forward to every new issue. Thinking it may be gone, or worse yet, sold and changed (into something unrecognizable) just saddens me.
Here is what they have to say about it.
Reader’s Digest was once the most widely read magazine in the world. According to the company, it still may be when its overseas editions are taken into account. Last August, the company took its US operations into Chapter 11 to decrease debt. It emerged from bankruptcy in February with $525 million in exit financing. The company cut the number of issues it publishes a year from twelve to ten last year. It also cut its circulation guarantee for advertisers to 5.5 million copies from 8 million. It would have been unthinkable just a few years ago that a magazine as old and famous as Reader’s Digest would be shuttered. Iconic titles like House & Garden have been closed, Newsweek is for sale. BusinessWeek might have been closed if Bloomberg had not bought it for next to nothing. The parent of Reader’s Digest has a number of niche magazines, such as Every Day with Rachael Ray and Taste of Home. The company’s book and music businesses reportedly also do well. Reader’s Digest also has 50 editions of its flagship magazine published around the world. But, if the trends in the US publishing industry have shown anything, it is that large, widely circulated magazines like Newsweek, US News, and TV Guide have no future in America in their current form. Reader’s Digest may live on outside the US and its parent company may survive. However, Reader’s Digest as it is known in the US will be gone.

The brands they put on the list last December for 2010 are either gone or on a short-term path to extinction. This doesn’t look promising.
I hope for a miracle cause Reader’s Digest will be missed
I know I am a little slow when it comes to some things since this video was put on YouTube over a year ago. I just saw it for the first time today though. However I have an excuse because I rarely watch YouTube. But this is just the cutest video. And even if you have seen it before, it is sure to make you smile all over again.
Here are the “Roller Babies”
Yesterday was the 4th of July. We really didn’t have any plans, not like past years anyway. But this year since we are 40 miles from Nashville we decided to venture into the city for the big fireworks. As I was looking online for where to go for fireworks I found a list of the top 10 places to see fireworks for the 4th 2010. Nashville was on that list, so that was cool.
Here a couple of picture I took of the fireworks. I took these with my phone no less. Not too bad for a “phone camera”.
I have more pictures of the city itself, but you will have to come back Wednesday for Wordless Wednesday to check those out.
Yeah I know, kinda crazy. I mean we already have 2 dogs and how many people and dogs can actually fit in an RV anyway? I guess we will find out, the hard way. Our 2 dogs are small, but our new puppy is going to grow into a horse lol. Her mama is a Weimaraner and the accidental daddy is a Britney Spaniel.
Seeing as I am the only female around here, since my cat ran away
I got a female puppy so I wouldn’t be so alone lol. I named her Coco. I think however she is going to be a “daddy’s girl” as she is always loving up my husband. Coco is my first female dog. I have always gotten male dogs before, not sure why, just the way it’s always been.
I got Coco a couple days ago at 6 and a half weeks old. Here she is sleeping as puppies do.
Here is Coco enjoying the sun. She has the most beautiful blue eyes.
My other dogs are learning to get along with Coco, slowly. Romeo just ignores Coco. He did the same thing to Lucky when I brought him home too. Romeo just gets this look on his face like “ugh, a puppy”. He and Lucky are best buds now so hopefully he will warm up to Coco.
Romeo is in serious need of a haircut…duh!!!
Lucky is not the least bit sure of Coco yet. He has growled at Coco a few times already. Anytime Coco get close to him he takes off in the other direction. Lucky always acts all tough but he is really a chicken-shit at heart lol. It seems as Lucky wants to establish his dominance over her but I am sure that will only last so long as Coco will surely outweigh him by 50+ pounds.
Lucky hates it when I take his picture, like I am going to steal his soul or something. He always turns his head and puts his ears back. It is kinda funny but makes it hard to get good pictures of him.
