Busy, busy, busy, that is what I have been these last couple weeks. So, here is my recap of our holiday “09″
First off we were going to go to AZ to visit my family just for Christmas. BUT… my dear husband gave me the choice of going and staying in AZ with the kids till the end of the school year. Yes!! My Christmas wish was granted. I have a somewhat (maybe even unhealthy) love affair with AZ. There is no place I would rather be and could care less if I ever left the state again. Of course I will have to leave to join my husband again in our RV eventually, but I am here now and I am going to enjoy it while I can.
Christmas was nice here. The kids were happy with what they got, we had family together and my oldest son Alex made out like a bandit in Visa giftcards lol.
One of the presents me and my 2 youngest sons got for Christmas was new bikes. Well I got $$$ to buy my new totally awesome bike that I have wanted for many, many months now.
I got a Specialized Sirrus (24 speed bike). Isn’t it just the coolest thing you have ever seen? That is ok if your not into bikes. I am just getting back into bikes after many, many years of being away from them. I have been almost too busy this last week to start riding yet. I am going to get into road biking. As opposed to trying to run people off the sidewalk I am going to ride on the road and try not to get run over by crazy drivers. Seriously, I have only ever done trails or back roads, never 4 or 5 lane roads (ack!!!). One thing AZ does have though are tons and tons of bike lanes on their roads. And I bought my first bike helmet (can we say sexy? NOT lol). Can you all guess what my New Years resolution is?? You guessed it, ride my bike and get in shape!!
The boys had a great time with their new bikes too. Both can ride without training wheels. They just have a little problem getting started on their own. As long as I hold the bike for them to get on then they are good and off and pedaling.
Oh, and also my parents got a new house and there is a really nice park acoss the street that the kids have lots of fun at. The park area is always busy with kids and people so there is always something going on.
*sigh* did I say already that I just love Arizona?!!!
Hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year to all my readers!
