What do you want for Christmas?

I Love Christmas.  Not because of the presents but I just love the holiday, family get togethers and lots of wonderful food.  However the presents can be nice!  lol   Some years I have nothing on my lists of wants and could really care less if I got anything at all.  Other years though, like this year there are a couple things I would really like to have.  Unfortunately for me the two items I really want are  expensive items that it’s not likely anyone will or would get me.  So when the question arrives, what do you want for Christmas?, the answer will be “nothing”.

So, what are these two presents I want?  For one I would like a nice bike.  A cross/hybrid no less.  Yes I know spending $500+ on a bike may seem over the top.  But have you ever ridden a bike of that price?  Believe me when I say it is like the difference between driving a economy car compared to a luxury car. Well maybe that is a stretch but it is a noticeable difference for sure.  What would I do with a “nice” bike?  Ride it of course.  Does that mean I would get back into a fitness routine and lose that extra 10 lbs I have laying around?  That is the magic question now isn’t it.  I assure you, I do have the best intentions though.   I guess there is only one way to find out, hint, hint…..

Number two on my list is a new camera.  The one I have now is fine but I have had it for about four years.  I have outgrown it and want to be able to take pictures with a more professional look.  I have always been interested in photography.  My first college class was a photography class and I even developed my own black and white pictures for a time.  Yeah, back before the age of digital (what is that?).  So, I am trying to decide between the Nikon D5000 or the Canon Rebel T1i.    Ahhh, decisions!!

Oh, and one more thing.  My biggest wish of all, above all else would be the gift of being able to move back to Arizona but since that isn’t something anyone can get me I guess I will just keep dreaming and wishing.
